This week, after our brilliant open mic, we’ll be welcoming our even brilliant-er Liz Heath! She’s been rocking as our fearless host and we can’t wait to hear what she’s been up to on the page. Heath has been writing and performing poetry for over six years now (seven? Eight?) Sister has been at this a minute). She began hosting the open mic and poetry slam at the Poet’s Asylum in Worcester three years ago, and now shares the title of co-slam master at the Asylum. Heath was on the 2011 Poet’s Asylum Slam Team, and competed at the 2011 Nationals, and she has two chapbooks Rearranging the Alphabet and This is My Therapy, with her name on them. Doors at 6:30, show at 7 – always an open mic, always all ages and free free free; coffee and snacks by donation.
