July 31st Revisited

We had a quite night at the Poets’ Asylum this week with only a handful in the open mic and a quick feature by Lesley Wheeler. She read a mixture of work from her latest chapbook and pieces written recently. Her work is concise and well formed, showing the time taken by the poet in crafting her art. Lesley told us about bees, mudslides and teaching in NY. She closed her set with the piece “Second Sight”, accompanied on flute by her friend Molly McLaughlin. Thank you for joining us Lesley.

Please join us next weekf for the team send-off feature.
