March 17th – McKendy Fils-Aime

A five-time competitor at the National Poetry Slam, representing Manchester’s Slam Free or Die (2008, 2010), Worcester Poets’ Asylum (2009), and Boston Poetry Slam (2011, 2012), McKendy Fils-Aime  is a two-time NorthBEAST Regional Slam individual finalist, ranking third in 2011. In January of 2011, he toured the country as part of a poetry quartet called No More Ribcage. Some of his work can be found in literary journals such as Amoskeag, Radius, Smashcake, and Borderline. Currently, he has three self-published books and is working on a manuscript. When not reading his own poetry or attending open mics, Mckendy runs writing and performance workshops around New England. Doors at 6:30, show at 7 – all ages and free free free; coffee and snacks  by donation.
